India Post Office Recruitment 2023: Online application are invited from the eligible applicants for engagement as Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) - Branch Postmaster (BPM)/ Assistant Branch Postmaster ABPM) & Dak Sevak for 40889 vacancy posts under india post office, Government of India.

i) Branch Postmaster (BPM)

ii) Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)

iii) Dak Sevak 

Total posts: 40889 posts

Total vacancy of Assam: 407 posts

Pay Scale: 

i) BPM: Rs.12000- 29380/-

ii) ABPM/ Dak Sevak: Rs.1000- 24470/- 

Age Limit: 

i) Minimum age: 18 years

ii) Maximum age: 40 years 

# Relaxations in upper age limit below-

1. SC/ST: 5 years

2. OBC/MOBC: 3 years

3. EWS: No relaxation 

4. Pwd: 10 years 

Educational Qualification: 

a) Secondary school examination pass certificate of 10th standard having passed in mathematics and English (having been studies as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognized Board of school education by the government of india/ state government/ union territories in india shall be a mandatory educational qualification for all approved categories of GDS. 

b) The applicants should have studies the local language i.e; . (Name of local language at least up to secondary standard as compulsory or elective subjects. 

Other Qualification: 

i) Knowledge of computer

ii) Knowledge of cycling 

iii) Adequate means of livelihood .

Selection Process: The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained/ conversion of Grades/ Points to marks in Secondary school examination of 10th standard .
