SSC CGL Notification 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the SSC CGL Exam for the recruitment of Grade “B” and “C” category posts in various Government Ministries, Departments and Offices. The SSC CGL exam is held in 2 stages called Tiers. The entire process of registration and communication happens online through the official website of SSC. Candidates must qualify for each stage of the SSC CGL exam to proceed to the next one, before being finally selected. Junior Statistical Officer: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level;
Or
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

All Others: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.

Group C Posts:

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

SSC CGL Examination Details & Selection Process:

The SSC CGL exam is a national-level exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in India. CGL stands for Combined Graduate Level, and the exam is conducted to recruit candidates for various Group B and Group C posts in different government departments and ministries.

The exam is conducted in four stages, namely Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4. Tier 1 is a computer-based exam consisting of multiple-choice questions on four subjects - General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Tier 2 is also a computer-based exam consisting of multiple-choice questions on Quantitative Abilities, English Language and Comprehension, Statistics, and General Studies (Finance and Economics). Tier 3 is a descriptive test, which is conducted in pen and paper mode and assesses a candidate's writing skills in English or Hindi. Tier 4 is a computer proficiency or skill test, which evaluates a candidate's typing speed and computer knowledge.

Candidates who clear all the four stages of the SSC CGL exam are eligible for appointment to the various Group B and Group C posts. The eligibility criteria for the exam include a bachelor's degree from a recognized university, and the age limit is between 18 to 32 years (age relaxation is provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories).
