Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up the following posts in Pollution Control Board, Assam. However, the number of vacancies may vary at the time of appointment. 3. Environmental Scientist

4. Assistant Programmer

Pay Scale: Rs.22,000 - Rs.87,000 + Grade pay Rs. 11,800

5. Junior Accountant

Pay Scale: Rs.14,000 - Rs.49,000 + Grade pay Rs. 8,700

6. Administrative Assistant — II

No of posts: 14

Pay Scale: Rs.14,000 - Rs.49,000 + Grade pay Rs. 8,700

7. Scientific Assistant III

Other Eligibility Criteria: 

Nationality: Candidates must be an Indian Citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.

Age Limit: Candidate should not be more than 38 years and less than 18 years of age as on 1st January, 2023 (Candidate must be born on or before 01-01-2005 and on or after 01-01-1985) subject to Govt. notification from time to time.

Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable subject to Govt. notification from time to time as under:

# SC/ ST (P) / ST (H): 5 years
# OBC/MOBC: 3 years

Educational Qualification:

1. Assistant Engineer (AE): B.E., B. Tech./AMIE in Chemical / Civil / Environmental/ Mechanical Engineering from a Government recognized University / Institute.

2. Environmental Scientist: M.Sc. in Chemical/ Biological/ Life/ Environmental Science from a Government recognized University / Institute.

3. Scientific Assistant-III: Minimum HSSLC level with Chemistry/ Biology from a Government recognized Institute.

4. Assistant Programmer: B.Sc. (IT/Comp. Sc), BCA, B.Sc. with DOEACC 'A' Level/ PGDCA from a Government recognized University / Institute.

5. Assistant Planning and Research Officer: Master degree in Geography/ Economics/ Statistics/ Mass Communication from a Government recognized University / Institute. Reading and writing skills in Assamese are preferable.

6. Junior Accountant (JA): B. Com/ BBA from a recognized University with minimum 6 Months Certificate/ Diploma in Computer Applications. Candidates having M.Com degree shall be preferred.

7. Administrative Assistant – II (AA-II): Graduate in Any Discipline with minimum 6 Months Certificate/Diploma in Computer Applications.

8. Grade IV: Class X/ HSLC passed from a Government recognized Institute.
