North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited, a Schedule –‘A’ "Mini Ratna" Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India and a fully owned subsidiary of NTPC, engaged in planning, designing & executing power projects in hydro, thermal & Solar Sector, propose to engage 76 (Seventy six) apprentices for FY 2022-23 under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 for a period of one / two year(s) apprenticeship training in the following trades for its different Plants/Projects/ Establishments:


North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) has released a employment apprentice notification for the recruitment of 76 Graduate Apprentice and Technician Apprentice Vacancy for FY 2022-2023 under the Apprenticeship Act 1961. 

NEEPCO Apprentice Notification 2023 Details:  

1. Graduate Apprentice (BE or equivalent Degree in Engineering or Technology).
No of posts:

Place of training @ Assam: Assam Gas Based Power Station (AGBPS), Bokuloni, District Dibrugarh, Assam -786191
No of seats: 2 (Elect/ Mech)

Educational Qualification:

a) A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University.
b) A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of parliament.
c) Graduate examination of professional bodies recognized by the Central Government as equivalent to degree.
d) A sandwich course student who is undergoing training in order that he may hold a degree in Engineering or Technology as mentioned at (a) and (b) above.

Monthly Stipend: Rs 18000/-
Period of Training: Period for apprenticeship training is 1 (one) year.

2. Technician Apprentice (Diploma in Engineering or Technology)
No of posts:

Educational Qualification:

a) A Diploma in Engineering or Technology Granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government.
b) A Diploma in Engineering or Technology by a University.
c) A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institute recognized by the State Govt. or Central Govt. as equivalent to (a) and
(b) above.
d) A sandwich course student who is undergoing training in order that he may hold a diploma mentioned in (a), (b), (c) above.

Monthly Stipend: Rs 15000/-
Period of Training: Period for apprenticeship training is 1 (one) year.

3. Graduate or equivalent in general Streams such as B.A, B.Sc & B.Com.

Educational Qualification:

a) A degree in any subject (other than engineering / technology) of minimum three years duration granted by a Statutory University.
b) A degree in any subject (other than engineering / technology) of minimum three years duration granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of parliament.
c) Graduate examination of professional bodies recognized by the Central Government as equivalent to degree (other than engineering/ technology).

Monthly Stipend: 
Rs 15000/-
Period of Training: Period for apprenticeship training is 2 (two) years.


Other Eligibility Criteria NEEPCO Apprentice: 

Resident-ship: The candidate should be a resident of North East India.

Qualification Date:

# For Graduate Engineering & Diploma Engineering, the candidate should have completed his / her Graduation / Diploma not before 1st June, 2020.

# For Non-Engineering Graduate or equivalent in general streams such as B.A, B.Sc & B.Com, the candidate should have completed his / her Graduation / Diploma not before 1st June, 2020.

Id Proof: The candidate must have Aadhaar Card/ Driving License/ Pan Card/ Voter ID Card/ Passport which is required for online registration.

Age Limit
Maximum age 28 years as on 01-01-2023, but not less than 18 years.

Age Relaxation: Age relaxation is allowed for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward Classes/ Persons with Disability/ Ex-servicemen, as per applicable Govt. of India rules.

Reservation:
 Reservation for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward Classes (NCL)/ Persons with Disability/ Economically Weaker Section, will be as per existing Govt. of India rules.


How to Apply NEEPCO Apprentice Notification 2023 For 76 Apprentice Posts? 

Graduate Engineering & Diploma Engineering):

Step I

➢ The Candidates must get himself / herself enrolled / registered with Board of Practical Training (BOPT), through online enrollment at National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), in www.mhrdnats.gov.in and poses a valid enrollment ID generated after successful enrollment.
➢ For instance, there may be candidates who possess qualification of both B.Tech and Diploma. If he/ she apply against Technician (Diploma) training slots, he/she must register as Diploma only in the NATS portal (www.mhrdnats.gov.in)

Step II

The Candidates are advised to apply online & select any one NEEPCO Establishments.

Step III

After submitting the online application, the applicant should download the NEEPCO Apprenticeship Application Form from the Corporation website www.neepco.co.in and navigate to the Career Section, take a print out and fill up all the relevant information(s) and send the duly filled form via email to neepco.apprentices23@gmail.com along with self-attested scan copies in PDF format of the following relevant documents i.e. Pass Certificate, Marksheet, Age Proof (HSLC Certificate or Birth Certificate), Caste /PwD Certificate, *CGPA conversion formula to Percentage signed by College / University should be attached in PDF (for Graduate & Technician Apprentices), *AICTE approval of the University/ Institute for that particular year of passing (for Graduate Apprentice), etc, so as to reach this office within the specified deadline.

Step IV

Hard copies of the filled Application form alongwith documents/ testimonials is also to be sent by POST. The envelope should be superscribed with Advertisement Number, Post applied for in Block Letters & should be sent by ORDINARY POST only to “Post Box No. 89 at GPO, Shillong-793001 (Meghalaya)” and should reach within the specified deadline. No other form of mail such as speed post/ registered post/ courier service etc. will be accepted.

Non-Engineering Graduate or equivalent in general streams such as B.A, B.Sc & B.Com:

Step I

  • Download the application form for Apprentice Jobs from the official website or Notification Link.
  • Check the last date before starting the application form.
  • Fill the application form without any mistakes.
  • Pay the application fee (If applicable) and submit the application form to the below address along with required documents with self-attested, before the last date (27-Mar-2023)
  • Capture the Application form number/courier acknowledgment number for future reference.

 Selection shall be based on merit as per mark secured in the degree/ diploma course as mentioned against each Apprentice posts. 
 First preference shall be given to candidates belonging to the State in which the Power Station (s) is/ are located. After allocation of seats to candidates belonging to the state, if no sufficient candidates are found; selection for rest nos. of seats shall be based on the merit as per marks secured in the Graduation / diploma engineering course by the candidates belonging to other NE states of domicile. 
 List of selected candidates will be made available at www.neepco.co.in. The call letters will be sent through their registered email only.
