Online applications are invited till 04.30 PM of 15-03-2023 from the citizens of India as
defined under Article 5 and 6 of the Constitution of India for filling up of the following vacancies
of Stenographer Grade-II and Stenographer Grade-III in the district courts of Assam. The number of vacancies shown below is indicative only and may vary at the time of final selection.
Gauhati High Court Recruitment 2023 for 130 Stenographer Posts Details:
1. Stenographer Grade-II
No of posts: 34
Educational Qualification:
(i) The candidate must be a graduate from a UGC recognized University as on the date of advertisement.
(ii) Should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/ Shorthand from ITI/ Polytechnic/ any other institute. Candidates who are pursuing Stenography/ Shorthand may also apply. However, they must submit pass/ completion certificate/diploma to the High Court at the time of document verification, unless otherwise decided by the High Court.

(i) Candidate who has passed H.S. examination from any recognized Board/ Council/ University as on the date of advertisement.
(ii) Should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/Shorthand from ITI/ Polytechnic/ any other institute. Candidates who are pursuing Stenography/ Shorthand may also apply. However, they must submit pass/completion certificate/diploma to the High Court at the time of document verification, unless otherwise decided by the High Court.
(ii) Should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/Shorthand from ITI/ Polytechnic/ any other institute. Candidates who are pursuing Stenography/ Shorthand may also apply. Pay: Rs.14000-60500 + GP Rs.7400 plus other allowances.
Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India as defined in Articles 5 & 6 of the constitution of India.
Age Limit: Category-wise age limits for the posts for both the categories of posts, as on the last date of receipt of applications, is as under:-
# UR: 18-40
# OBC/MOBC: 18-43
# SC: 18-45
# STP/STH: 18-45
# PWD: 18-50
Local Language Proficiency: Must have adequate knowledge of the official language (Assamese) of the State of Assam.
Employment Exchange Registration: The candidate must possess Employment exchange registration number for the state of Assam.
